True rest8/30/2023 ![]() ![]() Highly recommended for everyone especially those with muscle joint aches and stressful life situations to clear your mind meltaway life tensions! Tyler Ledford ★★★★★ Went here for my first float and had a great experience! Gavin was helpful and explained everything to me in the beginning to make me feel comfortable during my float. Chaz hunter ★★★★★ Still can’t believe after 10 floats how great you feel and how relaxed afterwards. I wasn't sure what to expect but I surly didn't expect to get so relaxed that I would fall asleep in the pod.Rob was knowledgeable, patient and friendly.I will definitely return again soon. Tamara Austin ★★★★★ Wonderful experience! This was my first experience with True Rest Float. ![]() And, I have never felt so clean and refreshed as I do when I leave there. For one hour, you are alone in your own thoughts with music of your choice and the world around you seems to stand still. Floating isn't for everybody, but you should try it at least once, and if you do, visit True Rest in Wilmington.Įxcellent 4.9 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on 205 reviews from review us on Aimee Newber ★★★★★ I absolutely love floating my troubles away. When such a wide variety of people from the healing field converge in one spot, there's definitely something worth checking out. Doctors and surgeons, physical therapists, reiki healers, pain management consultants, athletes, and massage therapists made up (and I would imagine still do) a large portion of regular floaters. The spa is meticulously cleaned morning and night (man, the muscles I had.) and the array of clients alone speaks volumes about not only the spa, but floatation therapy in and of itself. The employees that I worked with were passionate about the benefits of floating and well-informed. ![]() The owners are incredibly down to earth, genuine people who value their customers. After my first float, I was hooked.so much so that I applied to work there because, you know, float perks. After hearing from an acquaintance that a spa had opened in ILM, I decided to give it a shot. Before I even started working at True Rest, I was vaguely aware of floatation therapy, thanks to my mother's intrigue with holistic treatments and natural care. Still, I have nothing but love for here, and I always enjoy the oxygen bar and reading others' experiences and drawings in the guestbook afterward! ❤įull disclosure: Former employee here. I could see how this could cause difficulty for people with more serious mobility issues who could benefit from floating if it were a little more handicap accessible. I am sometimes not very sure footed due to an old foot injury, and one would really help - especially when getting out of the pod when I'm already a little disoriented. ![]() I have only floated in silence with no lights, but this helps me in the dark and silent floats. The only drawback is that there aren't handicap bars to grip onto when getting in and out of the pod. If you have trouble relaxing and quieting your thoughts at first, a body scan meditation really helps. Also, the staff is super nice and helpful, and the facilities are very clean and soothing. The first time I went, about halfway through I had half dozed off and woke laughing due to being so chilled out with a quiet brain (which is hard for me sometimes and kind of rare). I find the effects last for about a week and half. This is a very relaxing and beneficial experience that I now try to do regularly as it really helps with anxiety, inflammation, and just calming my racing brain. I even signed up for a basic membership package and am coming back Tuesday! The pricing is great! The oxygen bar was also a nice touch.I recommend giving this place a try and putting yourself first! I’m glad I did! My skin felt amazing! I slept really well. I could tell a difference in my pain level the moment it was done. I went in mainly due to having awful back, shoulder, and hip pain. She didn’t make me feel bad at all and made sure that I was instead comfortable and satisfied with my experience. The float itself was amazing. She was kind, helpful, personable, and made sure I was okay and was able to enjoy myself. My body has so much tension and stress that finally letting some of that go really did a number on me.All of that said, Megan was amazing. I did get sick, which was embarrassing for me. I will say this - it’s important to follow the advice / instructions they give you prior to your appointment. Yesterday was my first experience with True Rest and any kind of float pod system. ![]()
